Recovering a corrupted store

TheMaintMan
I am running a standalone SwiftMq, and something seems to have got corrupted.

The error log shows:

2014-08-06 17:25:36.237/sys$store/ERROR/The consistency check of the persistent store has found inconsistent data.
2014-08-06 17:25:36.237/sys$store/ERROR/This has been corrected (the store is now consistent).

The process is running now, but the large number of messages in the queue seem to be lost.

Is there anyway to recover the corrupted data can be fixed/recovered?

There isn't, sorry. Enable force sync on the transaction log to avoid this situation or ensure orderly shutdowns.

What sort of overhead does enabling force-sync have?
